We undertake to ensure confidentiality and privacy in the collection and processing of personal or business Data from our Clients and Users, fulfilling our obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation, and, for this purpose, we have developed this Privacy Policy.

General Terms

Chancexpression is responsible for this Privacy Policy, as well as the processing of any personal or business data collected through the form on the website or offline.

Under the terms of this Privacy Policy, Chancexpression defines:

Client: any entity that uses our services; and

User: any visitor to this website.

Chancexpression reserves the right to update or modify its Privacy Policy at any time, particularly in order to adapt it to legislative changes. The User is thus advised to visit this page on a regular basis.

By using this website, the User gives his/her consent to the collection and use of information.

Collected Data

Chancexpression collects data from its Clients and Users, through the submission of a form for that purpose in digital and/or physical format. It can also collect data following personal contact by phone or via e-mail (or any other electronic means, for example, through our pages on social networks or via Skype).

Chancexpression is the entity responsible for the collection and processing of these data, deciding the categories of data collected, the treatment it is subject to and the purposes for which it is intended.

All procedures performed in an automated and non-automated manner which enable the collection, compilation, storage, modification and transfer of personal data shall be considered “personal data processing”.

 Use of Data

The data collected is intended to process the communication between Clients and Users, processing information requests, compliance with contractual requests to answer business queries or other legal obligations.

Chancexpression neither markets nor distributes its Clients/Users Database with third parties and does not use it for spam messages.

Chancexpression does not carry out direct marketing activities.

– Business documents

Unless the customer specifically requests otherwise, we will store all business document translations, subject to strict confidentiality, for a maximum of two years in order to ensure future updates requested by the client.

– Documents containing personal data

Pursuant to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in effect from May 25, 2018, excluding data required for invoicing, any personal data relating to natural persons will, invariably, be deleted after serving the purpose for which they were requested or received.

Any personal data about natural persons provided by the customer will be used exclusively for the purposes for which they were provided, and for as long as necessary to fulfill such purposes, and will not be provided to third parties except in compliance with legal obligations or to fulfil the language service requested by the client.

You must provide us a written consent so that we can quote, translate, review, proofread, adapt and/or transcribe any document containing personal data about you or minors under your care. The consent form will be sent to the client by e-mail. After duly completed, the client must return it by e-mail.

Access to Data

Chancexpression shall not disclose any personal data of its Clients/Users to third parties without their consent.

Chancexpression shall take reasonable precautions to ensure that its employees or collaborators with access to personal information receive appropriate training for its correct processing, under this policy and the legal obligations in terms of data protection. In the case of non-compliance, Chancexpression will apply disciplinary sanctions to its employees and collaborators.

 Data Storage

Chancexpression saves the data collected from its clients and users on its dedicated server located in Portugal. This server is protected and maintained in accordance with safety regulations and in compliance with applicable privacy laws.

 Data Storage Period

We store the data collected only during the time and according to the purpose for which they were collected.

For the purposes described in this Privacy Policy your personal data will be stored for a maximum period of 12 to 18 months from the date your consent was granted or from the last contact made (whichever occurs last) and if, within the referred period, the corresponding consent has not been withdrawn.

Clients’ data and other specific data to be stored for compliance with legal obligations may be extended for a maximum period of up to 10 years (in accordance with article 130 of the IRC code), after which, it will be deleted.

 Data Security

Chancexpression has taken the technical and organizational measures necessary to adequately protect your data from unauthorized processing and access.

Our company has undertaken all reasonable efforts to prevent unauthorized or illegal use of your personal data, as well as its loss, destruction or damage. However, we cannot provide an absolute guarantee for the User’s data. In case of a leak, loss or tampering of personal data that is likely to entail a high risk to the rights and freedoms of our Clients and Users, Chancexpression will:

Notify, within 72 hours after becoming aware of the incident, the supervisory authorities;

Communicate, in a timely manner, the situation to the holder(s) of the affected data.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to these websites and e-mail addresses.
